Through examining the movie Gandhi directed in 1982 by Richard Attenborough, this essay aims to reflect on pervasiveness of biased representations Western cultural production and legacy imperialism media. The inaccurate portrayal as a political figure extends an incomplete narrative Indian independence since India’s story is strongly tied with his identity. essentially serves introduction India for audience.
